Job Summary:

As a Lockbox Specialist at Reveloop, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of payments received through lockbox services. Your meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work with financial systems will contribute to the financial success of our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of revenue cycle management practices, excellent data entry abilities, and proficiency in using lockbox systems.

Responsibilities:

– Receive and process payments received through lockbox services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
– Verify payment information, including patient details, insurance information, payment amounts, and payment method.
– Perform data entry of payment details into billing systems or electronic health records (EHR) platforms accurately and efficiently.
– Reconcile payment batches, identifying any discrepancies or errors, and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
– Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve payment posting issues, including missing or misapplied payments.
– Prepare and reconcile bank deposits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to financial controls.
– Research and resolve inquiries related to lockbox payments from patients, insurance companies, or internal stakeholders.
– Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of lockbox activities, interactions, and outcomes in internal systems.
– Stay updated on lockbox processing procedures, banking regulations, and industry best practices.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline lockbox processes and enhance revenue cycle efficiency.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree required
– Proficiency in using lockbox systems, financial software, and electronic payment processing platforms.
– Strong understanding of behavioral health coding and billing guidelines (e.g., CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) and their impact on payment posting.
– Knowledge of banking processes, reconciliation, and deposit procedures.
– Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
– Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and speed.
– Exceptional problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve payment discrepancies or errors.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse stakeholders.
– Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
– Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
