The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for the accurate entry, management, and maintenance of patient registration information and medical records within our systems. You will handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, patient check-in and check-out in the systems, scheduling support, and charge entry all while reflecting the care and professionalism our clients expect.
This role sits at the heart of our revenue cycle operations. Accuracy, speed, and a genuine commitment to doing the work right the first time are what make someone successful here. If you are someone who takes ownership of your responsibilities and thrives in a structured, high-accountability environment, we want to hear from you.
Training will be provided to the right candidate. What we need from you is the work ethic, communication ability, and technical aptitude to absorb it and put it to use.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Registration & Records Management
- Accurately enter and maintain patient demographic, insurance, and registration data in the EMR system.
- Verify patients’ insurance coverage and ensure all necessary information is captured at the point of entry.
- Manage and update medical records, ensuring data integrity, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Review records for accuracy and flag missing or inconsistent information for follow-up.
Data Quality & Process Adherence
- Maintain high typing accuracy and throughput standards to meet daily productivity targets.
- Follow established data entry protocols and support process improvement efforts as directed.
- Adopt new systems, practices, and tools as the organization evolves, contributing to consistent operational excellence.
What We Are Looking For
We are not just looking for someone who can type fast. We want someone who understands that the data they enter has a real impact on patient care and billing accuracy. Attention to detail, professionalism, and a service-oriented mindset are just as important as technical ability here.
- Strong computer proficiency, including confident use of EMR systems, Microsoft Office tools, and data entry platforms.
- High typing speed with demonstrated accuracy — the ability to process information quickly without compromising quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you interact with patients and colleagues clearly and professionally.
- Strong organizational skills — you manage tasks, records, and priorities with discipline and consistency.
- Effective time management; you understand deadlines and work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.
- Problem-solving ability — when something does not look right, you investigate, flag it, and see it through to resolution.
- Understanding of HIPAA and a commitment to data confidentiality as both a professional and personal responsibility.
What We Offer
- Structured onboarding and training — you will be fully equipped before you are expected to perform independently.
- A high-performance team environment where quality work is recognized and rewarded.
- Competitive compensation aligned to your experience and the results you deliver.
- Clear pathways for advancement within the revenue cycle field for team members who demonstrate growth and initiative.
- A leadership team that values what you bring to work and invests in your development.
