Job Summary:

As a Payment Poster at Reveloop, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely posting of payments received from patients and insurance companies. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the financial success of our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of payment processing procedures, excellent organizational abilities, and proficiency in using billing systems.

Responsibilities:

– Receive and process payments from patients and insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
– Verify payment details, including patient demographics, insurance information, payment amounts, and payment method.
– Post payments accurately and promptly to patient accounts in billing systems or electronic health records (EHR) platforms.
– Reconcile payment batches and identify any discrepancies or errors for resolution.
– Investigate and resolve posting discrepancies, including rejected payments and overpayments.
– Prepare and reconcile bank deposits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with financial controls.
– Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of payment transactions and posting activities.
– Monitor and report on payment posting metrics, including productivity and accuracy rates.
– Collaborate with internal teams to address payment posting issues and improve processes.
– Stay updated on payment processing regulations, industry best practices, and billing system updates.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree required
– Proficiency in using billing systems, electronic health records (EHR) platforms, and payment processing software.
– Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes, including insurance payments, EOBs, and remittance advice.
– Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve posting issues.
– Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and communicate payment posting updates.
– Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
