Job Summary:

As a Payment Renegotiation Specialist at Reveloop, you will play a critical role in negotiating and renegotiating payment terms with patients and insurance companies to maximize revenue recovery. Your negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and persistence will contribute to the financial success of our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of revenue cycle management practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex payment negotiations.

Responsibilities:

– Review and analyze outstanding patient accounts and insurance claims to identify opportunities for payment renegotiation.
– Negotiate with patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to establish payment plans, settlement agreements, and alternative payment arrangements.
– Advocate on behalf of the company to maximize reimbursement rates and minimize payment delays or denials.
– Collaborate with internal teams, including billing specialists and legal counsel, to develop negotiation strategies and action plans.
– Maintain detailed records of negotiation activities, interactions, and outcomes in internal systems.
– Monitor payment renegotiation progress and follow up on agreed-upon terms to ensure compliance.
– Stay updated on payer policies, reimbursement rates, and industry best practices related to payment renegotiation.
– Provide support and guidance to internal teams on payment negotiation processes and strategies.
– Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to payment renegotiation.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends or patterns in payment renegotiation and develop strategies for improvement.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree required.
– Experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, collections, or a related field, with a focus on payment negotiation.
– Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex payment issues clearly and persuasively.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities for payment renegotiation and develop effective strategies.
– Proficiency in using billing systems, electronic health records (EHR) platforms, and financial software.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
– Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
