Job Summary:

As a Benefits Denial Specialist at Reveloop, you will play a critical role in identifying and resolving insurance benefits denials for our behavioral health billing clients. Your keen attention to detail, analytical skills, and persistence will contribute to our clients’ financial success. This position requires a strong understanding of revenue cycle management practices, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in navigating payer systems.

Responsibilities:

– Review and analyze insurance benefits denials to determine the root causes, discrepancies, and necessary actions for resolution.
– Research and interpret insurance policies, coverage limitations, and claim denial reasons to formulate effective appeals or rebuttals.
– Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation, medical records, or additional information required for appeals.
– Prepare and submit well-written appeals to insurance companies or payers within designated timelines, adhering to their specific guidelines and requirements.
– Track and monitor the progress of appeals, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
– Maintain accurate and detailed records of denial activities, interactions, and outcomes in internal systems.
– Stay updated on insurance payer policies, claim denial trends, coding guidelines, and industry best practices related to benefits denial management.
– Identify patterns or trends in benefits denials and provide recommendations for process improvements to minimize future denials.
– Communicate effectively and professionally with insurance companies, payers, and other relevant parties to advocate for successful resolution of denials.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline denial management processes and enhance revenue cycle efficiency.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree required
– Proficiency in using medical billing software, claim management systems, and electronic health records (EHR) platforms.
– Strong understanding of behavioral health coding and billing guidelines (e.g., CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) and their implications for benefits denials.
– Knowledge of insurance payers’ denial codes, billing requirements, claim submission guidelines, and reimbursement processes.
– Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple denial cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify denial patterns, discrepancies, and effective appeal strategies.
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to compose persuasive appeals and interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
– Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
– Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
